The highly-anticipated Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III has been officially announced to be released in November, and a newly released trailer gives fans a glimpse of its central villain: Makarov. Fans of the original Modern Warfare trilogy will remember Makarov as the notorious antagonist who wreaked havoc on Task Force 141.

In 2009’s Modern Warfare 2, Makarov played the role of a secondary antagonist, while in 2011’s MW3, he took center stage as the main threat. Now, in the third installment of the rebooted trilogy, Makarov is set to reclaim his position as the primary villain. The recently released trailer effectively portrays him as the ultimate boogeyman, destined to turn the lives of Captain Price and his team into a living nightmare. Additionally, the trailer promises a complete reveal of the game on August 17.
