Where to Find Rolan in Baldur’s Gate 3

Baldur’s Gate 3 offers a plethora of side content that intertwines seamlessly with the main quest. I’ve personally experienced side quests with unexpected consequences that ultimately impacted the main story. One such side quest involves finding Rolan, a character you may recall encountering in Act 1 at the Emerald Grove. In Act 2, Rolan goes missing, leaving his loved ones worried and wondering about his whereabouts after their release from Moonrise Towers.

To locate Rolan in Baldur’s Gate 3, head southeast of Moonrise Towers towards the broken bridge shown on the map below:

Once you arrive at the designated spot in Baldur’s Gate 3, you’ll find Rolan engaged in battle with Shadow enemies. It’s crucial to defeat these enemies and protect Rolan from harm. Fortunately, the Shadow enemies are relatively weak and shouldn’t pose a significant challenge.

Following the encounter, Rolan will engage in a conversation with you and return to the Last Light Inn. You can then visit the inn and speak to Rolan and his family, relieved to see that everything has been resolved and Rolan is safe and sound.
