Should You Let Yenna Join Your Camp in Baldur’s Gate 3?
When traveling towards the city in Baldur’s Gate 3, you’ll encounter a girl named Yenna in Rivington. Yenna will share her troubled situation with you, and you’ll need to decide whether or not to offer her help.
Despite any reservations you may have about allowing a stranger into your camp, I highly recommend welcoming Yenna, especially if you’re playing as a good character. Astarion may disapprove of Yenna joining the team, but you can temporarily remove him from your party to avoid any conflict.
Yenna is connected to the Rescue Orin’s Victim side-quest, where she is at risk of being kidnapped by Orin. Gortash will also warn you about an enemy shapeshifting into one of your companions, and it becomes necessary for you to uncover the imposter’s true identity.
Contrary to initial suspicions, Yenna is not Orin in disguise from the beginning. She is genuinely a child in need of assistance when she first encounters you. Even if you choose to prevent Yenna from entering your camp, Orin will simply kidnap another one of your companions.
In fact, some players have reported that regardless of their choice, Yenna still gets kidnapped. Therefore, unless you’re playing as a villain, there’s no harm in allowing Yenna to join your camp. After dealing with Orin, Yenna will remain in your camp and won’t cause any issues for your group until the end of the game.
Be cautious, as Orin could infiltrate your party even if you accept Yenna into the campsite. If one of your companions accuses Yenna of being Orin, that person is the Bhaalspawn in disguise. However, if the cat next to Yenna is missing, then Orin has kidnapped Yenna and taken her place.
In addition to assisting Yenna, you will also have the opportunity to rescue several prisoners from the Iron Throne during Act 3. This mission is considered one of the toughest challenges in Baldur’s Gate 3, as you must race against the clock to save everyone.
