Spider-haters rejoice: craft-’em-up Nightingale will have an arachnophobia mode

TechRadar Gaming Reports: Upcoming Game Nightingale to Feature Arachnophobia Mode

TechRadar Gaming is excited to bring you the latest updates from Gamescom 2023 regarding the most exciting developments in gaming and hardware. Today, we have some exclusive news about the highly anticipated craft-’em-up survival game, Nightingale.

Nightingale, set in a Victorian-inspired alternate future, allows up to six players to venture into different fantasy realms, battling various creatures and collecting valuable loot. However, the developers have confirmed to us that they will be introducing a special Arachnophobia Mode, which will remove all spiders from the game.

The absence of spiders in Nightingale raises some interesting questions. Will these spiders be adorned with Victorian-themed accessories like bonnets, petticoats, or corsets? Unfortunately, we don’t have the answer to that just yet. During a press demo, Inflexion Games assured us that players will have the option to perceive spiders or not.

It’s worth mentioning that this highly requested feature was inspired by feedback from the Nightingale community. However, specific details about how this mode will be implemented or displayed in the game have not been disclosed.

To learn more about Nightingale, don’t miss the new trailer premiering during this week’s Gamescom Opening Night Live 2023 event. The game offers an immersive open-world survival and crafting experience, immersing players in mysterious Victorian-themed environments within a realm called Fae.

As a Realmwalker, your mission is to traverse arcane portals scattered throughout this captivating land, confronting otherworldly horrors and encountering bizarre and fantastical creatures.

Aaryn Flynn, CEO of Inflexion Games, has announced that Nightingale will enter early access on February 22, 2024. This decision has been driven by years of dedicated work from the development team. By following in the footsteps of successful games like Baldur’s Gate 3, the Nightingale team aims to gather valuable community feedback during the early access period and leverage it to refine the game before its full release.
