Genshin Impact 4.0 Spiral Abyss floor 12 tips & tricks guide

The Ultimate Guide to Conquering Floor 12 of the Spiral Abyss in Genshin Impact

The Spiral Abyss in Genshin Impact is notorious for its difficulty, and the toughest challenge lies on Floor 12. This final floor will truly test your teams and builds, as you face waves of challenging enemies in a race against time. To earn the most valuable rewards, you’ll need to clear each chamber as quickly as possible. To help you succeed in this daunting task, here is our comprehensive guide to Floor 12 of the Spiral Abyss.

Master the Blessing of the Abyssal Moon: Keen Moon

Each update of the Spiral Abyss introduces a unique buff to aid you in your battles. The current update grants you the Blessing of the Abyssal Moon: Keen Moon. This buff provides the following benefits:

  • When a character recovers HP, they gain a 10% increased ATK for 10 seconds, with a maximum of 3 stacks.
  • When a character loses HP, they gain 40 Elemental Mastery for 10 seconds, also with a maximum of 3 stacks.
  • The effects of HP recovery and loss are independent of each other, and each stack is counted separately.

Keep these buffs in mind as you strategize your team compositions and fight against the challenging enemies on Floor 12.

Recommended Characters for Floor 12

For Floor 12 of the Spiral Abyss, Hydro and Pyro units are crucial due to the enemies you’ll encounter in each chamber. As a result, it’s recommended to have a roster of Hydro and Pyro characters to take advantage of their elemental effects. Here are some recommended characters for Floor 12:

Xiangling and Bennett: These two characters have excellent synergy and power together. They shine in the second half of each chamber, where enemies are weak against the Pyro element. If you have them built, make sure to utilize their strengths.

Xingqiu and Yelan: Just like they were effective on Floor 11, Xingqiu and Yelan continue to shine on Floor 12. They are particularly useful in the first half of each chamber, where enemies are vulnerable to the Hydro element. Consider utilizing at least one of these characters for optimal performance.

In addition, Dendro units like Alhaitham or Nahida can synergize well with Hydro units. Creating a Hyperbloom team is also recommended, as the Hyperbloom reaction provides exceptional single-target damage.

With these characters in mind, consider the following teams to conquer Floor 12:

  • Tartaglia / Kazuha / Xiangling / Bennett
  • Hu Tao / Zhongli / Xingqiu / Yelan
  • Lyney / Kazuha / Xiangling / Bennett
  • Alhaitham / Xingqiu / Yelan / Kuki Shinobu

Floor 12: Chamber One

To earn a 3-star rating in Chamber One of Floor 12, you must complete it within 420 seconds or 7 minutes. Here’s what you need to know about this chamber:

First Half: This half features the infamous Maguu Kenki boss. The AI of this boss has become more challenging, as it now teleports to different locations after every attack. Pay attention to its teleportation patterns and plan your attacks accordingly. Use the first few seconds to charge up your rotation, so that your main DPS can unleash a strong attack. Be prepared to dodge or use an Elemental Burst when the boss charges up a powerful attack after losing a significant amount of HP. Take advantage of this phase to charge up your own Elemental Burst, as the boss is immune to damage during this time.

Second Half: This half consists of two waves of enemies. The first wave includes four Tainted Water-Splitting/Spouting Phantasms, which are Hydro enemies immune to Hydro damage but vulnerable to Pyro damage. Use Kazuha to group these enemies together and maximize area-of-effect damage. The second wave features a Fatui Cryo Cicin Mage, a Construction Specialist Mek, and a Suppression Specialist Mek. Focus your attacks on the Cryo Cicin Mage first, allowing the other two enemies to approach you and facilitate AoE damage.

Floor 12: Chamber Two

In Chamber Two, achieving a 3-star rating requires completing it within 420 seconds, just like Chamber One. Here’s what you need to know:

First Half: The Emperor of Fire and Iron world boss takes center stage in the first half of this chamber. While this boss isn’t particularly threatening in terms of attacks, it starts the fight with a strong Pyro shield. You can still deal damage during this phase, although at a reduced rate. Deplete the Pyro shield to increase your damage output and stun the boss, allowing for easier attacks. Beware that the Pyro shield can regenerate if you don’t defeat the boss quickly enough.

Second Half: The second half introduces the Eremite Scorching Loremaster and Eremite Daythunder enemies in the first wave. Focus on defeating the Loremaster first, as the Daythunders will naturally approach you afterward. Next, you’ll face the Large Shatterstone and Overgrown Breacher Prismus enemies. One of them will have a Dendro shield, while the other will have a Geo shield. These shields are relatively weak, so eliminate these enemies as you normally would.

Floor 12: Chamber Three

Chamber Three also requires completion within 420 seconds for a 3-star rating. Here’s what you can expect:

First Half: This half features various Mek enemies, Eremite Floral Ring-Dancers, and Fatui Skirmisher Pyroslinger Bracers. Hydro units can be effective in depleting the Pyro shields generated by the Pyroslinger Bracer enemies.

Second Half: The Icewind Suite: Nemesis of Coppelius boss takes the stage in the second half. In this iteration of the fight, the boss gains a Cryo shield more frequently, making Pyro units essential. Additionally, be prepared for the boss’s more devastating attacks and bring a strong healer to the fight.

By following these strategies and utilizing the recommended characters, you’ll be well-equipped to conquer the challenges of Floor 12 in the Spiral Abyss. Good luck!
