Will Johnny Silverhand Return for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty?
One of the key attractions of the original release of Cyberpunk 2077 was the inclusion of the iconic character Johnny Silverhand, portrayed by Keanu Reeves. With his rebellious nature and anti-establishment ideals, Silverhand provided a compelling voice in the protagonist’s journey. However, as players anticipate the release of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, many wonder if Silverhand will make a return or if they will be deprived of his presence.
Rest assured, Johnny Silverhand is very much present in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. His spirit lives on, and he retains his rebellious attitude. Silverhand remains displeased with your collaboration with the government, and rightfully so, as it is not in line with the Cyberpunk ethos.
Having been betrayed and mistreated by the self-serving and corrupt government in the past, Silverhand’s disdain is well-founded. He knows firsthand the broken promises and shady practices of those in power.
In the new Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty update, as you work alongside the president, you will be faced with choices that determine your loyalties. Silverhand will voice his opinions on these choices, reflecting his unique perspective. It becomes clear that aligning with the president to dismantle an independent state goes against Silverhand’s ideals. Personally, I empathize with Silverhand’s reluctance to partake in these government affairs.
However, the entirety of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty revolves around working with the government, leaving players with little choice. You are essentially coerced into becoming a collaborator and embodying everything that the Punk movement stood against. Despite his complaints, if you choose to embark on this Cyberpunk 2077 expansion, you will have to tolerate Silverhand’s dissatisfaction. I, for one, found his grumbling to only exacerbate my own discontentment with the situation.
