No, it’s “not just you” – Destiny 2 is seemingly “broken” right now

Destiny 2 Players Encounter Ongoing Issues

Destiny 2 players are facing a series of difficulties this weekend, including problems with redeeming bounties, unresponsive doors, and a strange issue where enemies refuse to engage on the battlefield.

Despite recovering from recent DDoS attacks that caused server outages earlier this week, Destiny 2 is now plagued with other errors and bugs. Players are speculating that there may be further DDoS attacks, leading them to report these in-game oddities on Bungie’s social media channels.

PCGN has noticed that these issues are widespread, affecting various aspects of the game such as PvP scores, broken doors, and enemies failing to detect Guardians.

One frustrated member of the Destiny subreddit exclaimed, “THE GAME IS BROKEN FOR EVERYONE. You’re not special and your issues are not isolated. The game is f*cking broken right now. Please, for the love of god, stop asking why enemies aren’t dying and why you’re getting thrown from activities. THE GAME IS BROKEN RIGHT NOW.”

Players on Reddit, Twitter, and YouTube have also shared clips showcasing the numerous issues they’re encountering in the game.

Currently, there has been no official statement from developer Bungie regarding these issues or when a fix will be implemented. However, some players have resolved some of the problems by rebooting their consoles or PCs.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The upcoming expansion, The Final Shape, is set to release on February 27th next year.

The Final Shape, described as “the last expedition of Destiny’s first saga,” will take players through the Traveler portal introduced in this year’s Lightfall expansion. There, they will face off against the current antagonist, the Witness. Bungie promises that this adventure will “answer questions on a grander scale” while also allowing players to deepen their connections with familiar allies.
