Netflix has recently unveiled its plans to develop an animated Tomb Raider series, starring the iconic Lara Croft. The streaming giant has also confirmed that Hayley Atwell, known for her roles in Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning and the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Peggy Carter, will be providing the voice for Lara Croft in the series. Titled Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft, Netflix has given fans a first glimpse of the highly-anticipated series.

While an official release date has not been announced yet, Netflix has promised that the series will be available on its platform in the near future.

The teaser provides a glimpse into the upcoming series and suggests that it may follow the story and style of the recent Crystal Dynamics Tomb Raider reboot trilogy, which concluded with Shadow of the Tomb Raider in 2018. Despite this, it is still uncertain how closely the animated series will tie into the events of the game trilogy. Luckily, fans won’t have to wait long to find out, as Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft is expected to premiere on Netflix soon.
