Hey Xbox Insiders! We have an exciting new Xbox Update Preview for you in the Beta ring. These preview OS builds may not have noticeable changes to the UI, but they include important background improvements to ensure a quality and stable build for your Xbox consoles. We want to keep you informed about the updates coming to your device, so here are the details:

System Update Details:

  • OS version released: XB_FLT_2310ZN25398.2440.230924-2200
  • Available: 2 p.m. PT – September 28, 2023
  • Mandatory: 3 a.m. PT – September 29, 2023

New Features and Experiences

We have some exciting news for Beta users! There is something new coming to your Xbox Update Preview.

Controllers

A new version of the Xbox Wireless Controller firmware with various fixes will be available starting today.

Xbox Game Pass

When launching an Xbox Game Pass title that will soon be removed from the catalog, a random subset of users will see a new dialog. This dialog will clarify exactly when the title is leaving and offer an easy path to purchase the game to continue playing after it has left.

Fixes Implemented

Thanks to the hard work of Xbox engineers, we are happy to announce the following fixes for this build:

System

  • Various updates to properly reflect local languages across the console.

Known Issues

We understand that some issues have been listed in previous Xbox Insider Release Notes. Rest assured, these issues are not being ignored, but it may take some time for our engineers to find a solution. Here are a few known issues:

Accessibility

  • We are aware that Magnifier may not behave as expected when playing certain titles, and we are working on a fix.

Audio

  • We have received reports of intermittent audio issues across the dashboard, games, and apps. If you experience this, please submit feedback via Report a Problem immediately, providing as much information as possible.

Keyboard Button Mapping for Xbox Controllers

  • If you change your keyboard language settings while the Xbox Accessories app is open, the change will be reflected after quitting the app or rebooting your console.

Manage Queue

  • We are aware that recently installed titles may wrap to a second row unexpectedly, and we are working on a fix.

Networking

  • We are currently investigating reports of a network connection issue on boot. If you experience this, please report the issue via Report a Problem.
