Xbox Update Preview for Delta Ring

Attention Xbox Insiders! We have an exciting new Xbox Update Preview coming your way. While some of the updates in these preview OS builds may not have noticeable changes to the UI, they are crucial for ensuring a high-quality and stable build for your Xbox consoles. Here are the details:

System Update Details

  • OS version released: XB_FLT_2310ZN25398.2504.231009-2200
  • Available: 3 p.m. PT – October 12, 2023
  • Mandatory: 3 a.m. PT – October 13, 2023

Fixes Implemented

Thanks to the hard work of Xbox engineers, we are happy to announce that the following fixes have been implemented in this build:

Games

  • Fixes to address an unexpected cursor that could remain visible during gameplay in some titles.

System

  • Various updates to properly reflect local languages across the console.
    • Note: Users participating in the Preview may see some “odd” text on the console. For more information, please refer to our website.

Known Issues

We are aware of some issues listed in previous Xbox Insider Release Notes. Rest assured that our engineers are actively working on finding a solution, although it may take some time. Here are the known issues:

Audio

  • We have received reports of intermittent issues with audio across the dashboard, games, and apps. If you experience these issues, make sure you have the latest firmware updates for your TV and other equipment. If necessary, contact the manufacturer for assistance. If the issues persist, please submit feedback via “Report a Problem” with the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option selected, and choose the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues.” Please include as much information as possible to help us investigate the problem.

Games

  • We are aware of an issue causing unexpected steering wheel vibration in some titles. A fix for this will be included in a subsequent update.

Keyboard Button Mapping for Xbox Controllers

  • If you change your keyboard language settings while the Xbox Accessories app is open, the change will only take effect after you quit the app or reboot your console.

Networking

  • We are currently investigating reports of a connectivity issue where the console may not connect to the network as expected upon boot. If you encounter this, please report the issue via “Report a Problem” as soon as possible.

Remember to use “Report a Problem” to keep us informed of any issues you encounter. While we may not be able to respond to everyone, the data we collect is crucial in finding a resolution.
