Remedy Entertainment to Release Alan Wake 2 Next Week

Remedy Entertainment has announced that Alan Wake 2 will be released next week, on October 27. For those who want to revisit or experience the original Alan Wake before its sequel, time may be limited with the stacked schedule of October. However, there is an alternative: Alan Wake: Flashback. This new Unreal Editor for Fortnite offers players a chance to relive the mysteries and events of the first game in a shorter and more streamlined experience.

Epic Games describes Alan Wake: Flashback as a reimagining of Remedy’s 2010 action-thriller in the world of Fortnite. The game follows the story of troubled author Alan Wake as he embarks on a desperate search for his missing wife, Alice. After discovering pages of a horror story he supposedly wrote but has no recollection of, Alan finds himself unraveling a disturbing mystery.

For those familiar with the first Alan Wake game, Alan Wake: Flashback provides an expedited way to catch up on the series before the sequel’s release. You can access Alan Wake: Flashback on the Discover page of Fortnite or by manually searching for it using the Island code: 3426-5561-3374.

Epic Games collaborated with Remedy Entertainment, Spiral House, and Zen Creative in the creation of Alan Wake: Flashback.

Accompanying this announcement, Epic Games confirms that Alan Wake cosmetics will be available in the Fortnite Item Shop on October 26 at 8 p.m. ET. These include the Alan Wake Outfit and other in-game cosmetics as part of the “Waking Nightmare” set.

Additionally, players who purchase Alan Wake 2 on the Epic Game Store before October 27 at 11:59 p.m. ET will receive the Alan Wake Outfit and Alan’s Messenger Bag Back Bling in Fortnite early, starting from October 10.
