Wolverine Game Set In The Same Universe As Marvel’s Spider-Man, Insomniac Confirms

Insomniac Confirms Wolverine Game Set in Same Universe as Spider-Man Games

Since Insomniac revealed its highly anticipated Wolverine game two years ago, fans have been speculating whether it takes place in the same universe as the studio’s Spider-Man games. Spider-Man 2 director Bryan Intihar has finally confirmed in an interview with Kinda Funny that the answer is a resounding yes.

During the interview, host Greg Miller questioned Intihar about the connection between the two games. Intihar responded, “They’re all 1048. I think I got that right, but yeah.” The reference to Earth-1048 indicates that both the Spider-Man and Wolverine games are part of the Marvel universe created by Insomniac.

Possible Spider-Man References in Wolverine

Now that we know the two games share the same universe, fans are eager to discover if there will be any references to Spider-Man in Wolverine. While there is no confirmed release window for Wolverine yet, it’s exciting to consider the possibilities. Marvel’s Spider-Man featured numerous references to other heroes, like Avengers Tower, the Sanctum Sanctorum, and the Wakandan Embassy, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see Logan making his mark somewhere in the same world.

However, apart from this confirmation, details about Wolverine are scarce. We do know that it will be an exclusive, mature-rated title for the PlayStation 5.
