Xbox Insider Release Notes – Alpha (2311.231030-2200)

We have an exciting announcement for Xbox Insiders in the Alpha ring! A new Xbox Update Preview is on its way, packed with background improvements to ensure a quality and stable build for your Xbox console.

Even if the changes to the user interface are minimal, we want to keep you informed about upcoming updates. So, here are the details!

System Update Details:

  • OS version released: XB_FLT_2311ZN25398.2866.231030-2200
  • Available: 4 p.m. PT – October 31, 2023
  • Mandatory: 3 a.m. PT – November 1, 2023

Fixes Implemented

Thanks to the hard work of our Xbox engineers, we are pleased to announce that the following fixes have been implemented in this build:


  • Fixes to address some titles not launching as expected.


  • Various updates to properly reflect local languages across the console.
    • Note: Users participating in Preview may see “odd” text across the console, for more information go here.

Known Issues

We understand that some issues listed in previous Xbox Insider Release Notes haven’t been resolved yet. Rest assured, our dedicated engineers are actively working to find solutions.


  • We have received reports of users experiencing intermittent issues with audio across the dashboard, games, and apps. If you are facing these issues, make sure you have the latest firmware updates for your TV and other equipment. If you’re unsure, reach out to the manufacturer for assistance.
    • Note: If you continue to experience issues after updating firmware, please submit feedback via Report a Problem immediately with the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option, then select the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”. Provide as much information as possible, including:
      • When did the issue start?
      • Did you lose audio in just the game/app or system audio as well?
      • Does changing the audio format resolve the issue? If yes, what was the format before and after?
      • Does rebooting resolve the issue?
      • What does your setup include? Equipment, layout, etc.
      • Any additional information you can provide to reproduce the problem.


  • We are currently investigating reports of an issue where the console may not connect to the network as expected on boot. If you experience this, please report the issue via Report a Problem as soon as possible.

Make sure to use Report a problem to keep us informed of your issue. We may not be able to respond to everyone, but the data we gather is crucial for finding a resolution.
