The Flower Dance Festival in Stardew Valley Explained
Stardew Valley is more than just a farming simulator – it also offers players a variety of special events throughout the year, each specific to a particular season. One of the most anticipated events in the Spring is the Flower Dance. This festival allows players to dance with their favorite villagers, gain friendship points, and even purchase decorative flower items for their farms.
Where to Find the Flower Dance in Stardew Valley
Locating the Flower Dance can be a bit tricky since the mailbox letter from mayor Lewis doesn’t provide much guidance. However, the dance can be found south of the player’s farm, in Cindersap Forest. If you’re currently in Pelican Town, simply head to the southwestern exit next to Sam’s house to enter the forest and find the festival.
What to Expect at the Flower Dance
The Flower Dance is a Spring festival that takes place on the 24th day of the season, ensuring that players never miss out. The day before the festival, players can ask a bachelor or bachelorette to dance – unless you’re already married, in which case you’ll still need to ask someone to dance. Dancing with a villager at the Flower Dance increases friendship by one heart, making it a great opportunity to build new relationships.
During the festival, all the houses and shops in Pelican Town will be closed, so plan accordingly if you need to buy anything for your plants. Additionally, the dance takes place in an otherwise inaccessible area south of the Wizard’s Tower, requiring players to cross a wooden bridge to reach a charming clearing.
What to Do at the Flower Dance
To make the most of your time at the Flower Dance, take care of your farm and then enter Cindersap Forest around 1 PM. Explore the area, talk to villagers, and check out Pierre’s shop, where you can purchase decorative flowers and the Rarecrow for 2,500 gold. Collecting all 8 types of Rarecrows will unlock the recipe for the Deluxe Scarecrow, providing extra protection for your crops. Once you’ve finished shopping and interacting with the villagers, head to the northwestern part of the area to start the dance. After the dance concludes, you’ll be teleported back to your home at 10 PM.
