Announcement: New Character Revealed for Tekken 8 Roster

Bandai Namco has officially unveiled the final addition to the launch roster of Tekken 8, introducing Reina as the newest character to join the lineup. Reina, also known as “Purple Lightning,” brings a lightning-quick moveset to the game and has intriguing connections to the Mishima clan, adding an element of mystery to her character.

Little is known about Reina’s background other than the fact that she is a student at the Mishima Polytechnical School. Despite her enigmatic past, it is clear from her gameplay trailer that she is more than capable of holding her own, particularly when it comes to facing off against Jin. Players can get a glimpse of Reina in action in the video below.

In addition to the base roster, the game’s first Season of post-launch DLC will introduce four new fighters, to be released separately throughout 2024, with the first set to debut in the spring.
