This makes it one of the year’s best-selling games, outselling even Super Mario Bros. Wonder, which sold through 4.3 million copies in two weeks. The game was also named the fastest-selling PlayStation Studio game just three days after its release.

The success of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 can be attributed to the positive reception of its predecessors, Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Additionally, with the PlayStation 5 surpassing 46.5 million units sold, there is a large community of gamers who were able to purchase the game.

During the second quarter of Sony’s Fiscal Year 2023, the PS5 sold 4.9 million consoles, bringing the total lifetime sales to 46.6 million units.
