The Finals developer isn’t releasing a content roadmap because it wants to ‘make promises we can keep’

The Finals Won’t Have Content Roadmap, Says Creative Director

Embark Studios has made it clear that their game, The Finals, will not have a content roadmap. Creative director Gustav Tilleby explained that the studio doesn’t want to overpromise and then underdeliver to the players.

Although the game recently received its first battle pass with rewards for players, the studio has not shared any future plans for the game. This lack of transparency has led to speculation about what might be added in the future, including new maps, game modes, and changes to equipment and abilities. However, these are all unconfirmed at this time.

Players have also reported an increase in cheaters in the game, making ranked matches difficult to enjoy. Embark has acknowledged the issue and is working on a fix to prevent cheating from disrupting the gameplay experience.

The Finals is currently available for free on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
