LEGO has announced the upcoming release of the Bowser’s Muscle Car Expansion Set, scheduled to hit shelves on January 1, 2024 with a price tag of $29.99.

This new addition to the Super Mario line seems to be inspired by the car featured in Super Mario 3D World. According to the LEGO website, the set boasts various features designed for interactive play, including a lever that activates the movement of the hood ornament and other playful tricks. The set also includes a brick-built figure of Super Mario character Bowser with an Action Tag.

For even more interactive play, consumers can pair the Bowser’s Muscle Car Expansion Set with a LEGO Mario, Luigi, or Peach figure from a LEGO Super Mario Starter Course (each sold separately). Placing one of these figures in the driver’s seat triggers beeping-horn, running-engine, and squealing-tire sound effects, as well as the ability to earn digital coins.

In addition to being a fun gift for gamers, this LEGO set is complemented by the LEGO Super Mario app, which provides building instructions, creative play ideas, and a safe forum for children to share their creations with fellow fans.
