Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse Returning To Theaters Later This Month

Miles Morales returns to IMAX theaters in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse

If you didn’t get a chance to catch Miles Morales in action alongside every Spider-Person from the multiverse on the big screen, you’re in luck. Sony has announced that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be back in IMAX theaters starting January 19.

Christopher Miller, the writer, and producer of Spider-Verse, took to Twitter to share the news: “If you didn’t get a chance to catch ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE on the big screen – where you can see the jaw-dropping level of detail & innovation lovingly put into every frame – you’ve got another chance! It’s returning to IMAX for a limited release on January 19. Don’t miss it!”

Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse initially debuted in summer last year, making $16 million in Thursday previews, marking the second-best start in animated film history. While the movie was well-received, reports also surfaced about chaotic working conditions during its production.

Approximately 100 artists left the project due to constant changes, and the crew worked 11-hour days, seven days a week to meet the movie’s release date.

Check out our Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse review, where Phil Owen described it as a “visual feast unlike anything I’ve ever seen before in a movie theater.” Owen further added, “It’s transcendent, really. Maybe, for this film, that’s all that will end up mattering.”
