PlatinumGames has made the decision to remove its 2021 hack and slash action game, World of Demons, from Apple Arcade in the coming month.

According to a brief blog post on January 5, the game will no longer be available for download on Apple Arcade after January 18. This platform was the only way to access the game, as it was exclusive to iOS and MacOS devices including iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV. On February 1, the game will become entirely unavailable to play.

World of Demons allows players to inhabit the role of a samurai in a world inhabited by supernatural spirits and creatures known as yokai. The game features a stunning environment inspired by traditional Japanese art and allows players to develop their abilities to defeat the fearsome Shuten Doji, lord of all oni.

No specific reason has been provided for the removal of the game from Apple Arcade, but those interested in playing it will have a limited time to do so before it disappears.
