One such cave is the Thundra Plateau cave, which offers players an exciting challenge and a valuable reward. Here’s how you can find and access this hidden gem in Tears of the Kingdom.

Locating the Thundra Plateau Cave

The Thundra Plateau cave is situated near the center of the Thundra Plateau, just southwest of the Lindor’s Brow Skyview Tower at the northwest end of Ludfo’s Bog. Despite its location, the entrance to the cave is not immediately visible. In fact, gaining access to the Thundra Plateau cave will require players to solve a complex and imaginative puzzle.

Unlocking the Entrance

To enter the Thundra Plateau cave, players must create a shadow that passes over a specific point at the right time of day. This will allow them to enter the cave and claim a valuable prize. Conveniently, there are several mushroom-shaped trees surrounding the cave entrance, which players can cut down to construct a towering column made of 5 to 6 logs, using the Ultrahand to stitch them together.

Once the log construction is complete, players can use the Ultrahand ability to grab one end of the constructed log. They should then position themselves in the shadow of the south pillar at a specific time of day, and lift the log construction vertically in order to connect the shadow to the north pillar. This will cause the cave entrance to open up.
