In my experience, the Wand is the most effective weapon in Enshrouded, dealing incredible ranged damage to a wide variety of enemies, based on the element. Additionally, carrying a Club for close combat encounters is recommended at the start, until you acquire better gear. It’s best to avoid the Bow and the Staff early in the game, as you’ll find upgraded versions later on.

Where to find the best weapons, armor, and rings early in Enshrouded

To upgrade your arsenal, you’ll need to venture into the open world and find chests. Weapons are commonly found, followed by armor, and then rings. Here are the locations where I’ve had the most success finding each of these.

Best locations to find weapons in Enshrouded

I’ve found weapons in both marked and unmarked villages, mines, caves, and dungeons. Pay attention to glowing blue chests in particular, as they contain weapons with higher rarity, providing better damage, bonus stats, and enhancements.

Specific weapons can be found at specific locations, such as a Hunter’s Bow in the catacombs under the south side of Rookmore or a Legendary Ornate Wood Bow located in Rookmore past the rubble rock wall with explosive barrels.

Best locations to find armor in Enshrouded

At the beginning of the game, the best armor is crafting-based. Later in the game, unmarked locations, particularly those with dungeons, often hold high-quality armor pieces. Keep an eye out for glowing blue chests, which often feature good gear, especially when hidden behind secret walls.

I’ve had the most success finding armor in catacombs and Ancient Spires, with Ancient Spires being particularly abundant in loot. These areas usually harbor good armor and are worth exploring extensively.
