How to use the Pal Essence Condenser in Palworld

Unlocking and Building the Pal Condenser in Palworld

In Palworld, you’ll notice the Pal Essence Condenser in the Ancient Technology Tree. This structure may not be so crucial in the early game, but when the time comes where you want really powerful Pals, you’ll need this to accomplish that. I just hope you have some spares lying around.

The Pal Essence Condenser is an Ancient Technology, and thus needs two Ancient Technology points to unlock it in the technology tree. You’ll be able to unlock this structure at level 14.

Getting Ancient Technologies requires you to either take down a Field Boss for the first time, or defeat a Tower for the first time. At level 14, you’ll have no problem taking on the first Rayne Syndicate Tower, so if you don’t have any Ancient Technology points, then ready up for a fight.

The first win bonus from Field Bosses only provides you with one Ancient Technology point, so it’s actually more effort than taking down Zoe and Grizzbolt once.

With it unlocked, you’ll be able to build and place the Pal Essence Condenser. It costs 20 Paldium Fragments, 20 Ingots, and 5 Ancient Civilization Parts.

Ancient Civilization Parts are first-time rewards for Towers and Field Bosses but are also rewarded for beating the bosses of dungeons, scoring you two for each one defeated. The easiest way to get more Ancient Civilization Parts is to locate a few low-level Dungeons local to you. Dungeons can be entered through the open caves that you’ll find along your travels.

Using the Pal Essence Condenser in Palworld

With the Pal Essence Condenser built in Palworld, you can use it straight away to rank up your Pals. You may have noticed that Pals have four hollow stars under their name in their information panel. These indicate their rank. The higher the rank of a Pal, the more powerful it is.

The only way to increase the rank of a Pal is through using the Pal Essence Condenser to sacrifice other Pals of the same species. You can promote the rank of a Pal four times, and each promotion requires this many Pals:

  • Rank 1 needs 4 Pals
  • Rank 2 needs 16 Pals
  • Rank 3 needs 32 Pals
  • Rank 4 needs 64 Pals.

So in total, you’ll need 116 Pals to promote another Pal of the same species to their maximum Rank. All Pals used to promote your chosen Pal will be destroyed.

Upon being promoted, not only will a Pal have their stats increased, but their Passive Skill will level up, becoming better or more efficient.

Now that you’re familiar with ranking up your Pals with the Pal Essence Condenser in Palworld, why don’t you get familiar with the Egg Incubator?
