Video: Digital Foundry’s Technical Analysis Of Tomb Raider I-III Remastered

Tomb Raider Remastered Trilogy Arrives on the Nintendo Switch

Get ready to raid some tombs on the go – the Tomb Raider I-III Remastered trilogy is releasing on the Nintendo Switch this week, and the tech experts at Digital Foundry have already provided a performance and frame rate breakdown across each system.

For those playing on the Switch, this remaster runs at a native 1080p and 60 frames per second in docked mode, and 720p at 60fps in portable mode. According to Digital Foundry, there are no frame rate hiccups, making for a smooth and “near perfect” user experience in terms of performance.

Meanwhile, the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 versions of the game deliver a 4K output at 60fps. However, there is a catch – while the remaster version runs at 60fps on each platform, the classic graphics mode is capped at 30fps across all platforms. This frame pacing creates some minor issues, but it is still playable.
