Helldivers 2 is poised to become one of the standout games of 2024, with estimated sales exceeding 8 million copies on both PS5 and PC. While official figures have yet to be disclosed by Arrowhead Game Studios or Sony Interactive Entertainment, it is believed that the game’s sales continue to climb each week.

Positive Sales Growth Continues

Market research analyst Doug Creutz recently remarked that Helldivers 2 has experienced steady growth in sales since its launch. According to Creutz, the game has sold over 8 million copies and shows no signs of slowing down in popularity.

Arrowhead Game Studios’ CEO Johan Pilestedt initially confirmed sales of around 1 million copies within the first four days of release. Pilestedt expressed that the game exceeded expectations, and it now appears that Helldivers 2 is on track to be a surprise hit of 2024. The game’s dominance in the February 2024 PS Store downloads is also indicative of its success.

Exciting Updates Await Players

Players can look forward to a series of free post-launch updates for Helldivers 2, with the introduction of the EXO-45 Patriot Exosuits being the first in line. Future updates will bring new tools, challenges, threats, and premium content like Warbonds, all designed to enhance the gameplay experience without implementing a pay-to-win system.

Sony is taking advantage of the game’s popularity by releasing a range of official Helldivers 2 merchandise, including apparel and accessories. Fans can purchase items from the collection at the PlayStation Gear store in Europe, the United States, and Latin America.
