What Are You Playing This Weekend? (23rd March)

Currently knee-deep in Balatro, trying different strategies with my Jokers to improve my runs. Progress is slow but steady, still working towards that successful run. One of the standout features of the game for me is the immersive ‘feel’ it provides, especially with the subtle card movements and excellent use of HD rumble. Apart from Balatro, looking forward to diving into Pikmin 4 for a few days. Also intrigued by Princess Peach: Showtime! after reading PJ’s review, but that will have to wait until payday.

Wishing you all a fantastic gaming weekend!

Exploring some ‘retro’ games currently, including Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, Turrican Flashback, and Mega Man Legacy Collection. Not in the mood for anything too overwhelming, so these classics are hitting the spot perfectly.

After watching the trailer for Alien: Romulus, I couldn’t resist revisiting Alien Isolation. The game’s atmosphere continues to impress me, along with its smooth performance on the Switch. Highly recommend picking it up.

It’s Dragon’s Dogma 2 weekend for me! Planning to immerse myself in the game and enjoy every moment of it. When I’m not playing Dragon’s Dogma, I might dip back into Balatro occasionally. Currently focusing on completing challenges in Balatro, which is different but still enjoyable!

Currently engrossed in Contra: Operation Galuga, replaying it and revisiting classics like Contra: Shattered Soldier and Neo Contra. Making steady progress in Unicorn Overlord, expanding my territory across Cornia. Introduced my Discord group to HELLDIVERS and the Humble Bundle featuring five Earth Defence Force games for some fun bug hunting and intense action.

Excited about Game Center CX: Arino’s Challenge 1+2 Replay as my game of the week. Delving into the Japanese import, eager to experience Arino’s retro gaming adventures on the big screen. Kacho ON!

Heading into a break next week, aiming to finally finish Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. However, with a house move on the horizon, gaming time will be limited to preparing for the transition and keeping the cat entertained. Recently picked up Please, Touch The Artwork for a bargain and found it to be a delightful experience. Eyeing Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen as my next gaming venture, hearing great things about the sequel.
