Baldur’s Gate 3 hotfix 24 fixes the short rest bug so now players can take their naps

Larian Studios has recently rolled out a new hotfix for Baldur’s Gate 3 in order to address several bugs and performance issues.

Hotfix 24 is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S and focuses primarily on enhancing stability and performance for the popular RPG, as well as addressing some bugs that have been impacting saves.

In this update, Larian has fixed a specific issue that was preventing players from taking a ‘Short Rest’ after adding and then dismissing the intellect devourer Us with a different companion party member, and then loading certain save files.

“We’ve had a chat with this lovable intellect devourer, and power naps are now back on track,” stated the patch notes.

Furthermore, Mac users should notice improvements in performance and frame rate drops as the latest hotfix has resolved an issue introduced in hotfix 21. Additionally, a crashing problem that occurred during the transition from Act 2 to Act 3 has been fixed.

With all previous updates now integrated into the Xbox Series X|S version, players should have a smooth experience updating their game to the latest version. The full details of the hotfix can be found below.
