Known Issues

Although known issues may have been mentioned in previous Xbox Insider Release Notes, rest assured they are being addressed. It may take Xbox engineers some time to find a resolution. If you encounter any of these issues, please follow the provided guidance and report feedback using the Report a Problem feature.

Audio

  • Some users have reported intermittent audio problems across the dashboard, games, and applications.
    • Troubleshooting: If you experience issues, ensure your TV and all other equipment have the latest firmware installed. If unsure, contact the manufacturer for assistance. Additional troubleshooting tips can be found here: Troubleshoot audio on your Xbox console.
    • Feedback: If problems persist after firmware updates and troubleshooting, submit feedback via Report a Problem when facing the issue. Select the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option, then choose the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”.
      • Note: Include detailed information about the problem, onset, setup, troubleshooting steps taken, and any additional data to help reproduce the issue.

Networking

  • We are investigating reports of a connectivity issue where the console may not immediately connect to the network upon booting up. If you experience this, report the issue via Report a Problem as soon as possible.
    • Workaround: Allow a minute or two for the connection to establish. If the console still doesn’t connect, restart it from the Power Center or guide, then report feedback with Report a Problem. Learn more about restarting here: How to restart or power cycle your Xbox console.

Always use Report a problem to inform us of any issues you encounter. While we may not respond to everyone, the data collected is vital for finding a solution.

If you’re an Xbox Insider seeking support, visit the community subreddit where official Xbox staff, moderators, and fellow Xbox Insiders are available to assist with your concerns.

When posting on the subreddit, check recent posts to see if your issue has been raised or resolved. Add to existing threads discussing the same problem before creating a new one. This practice helps us support you more effectively. Remember to use “Report a Problem” before posting, as information shared in both places aids in understanding your issue.

Thank you to every Xbox Insider in the subreddit and welcome to new community members! We appreciate the friendly and community-driven conversations and support it has fostered.
