Darkest Dungeon 2, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2, and V Rising coming to PS5

Exciting news for PlayStation 5 gamers, as three popular indie games are set to make their way to the platform this year. Red Hook Studios’ Darkest Dungeon 2 and Steel Wool Studios’ Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 are scheduled to arrive on PS5 during the summer. Additionally, Stunlock Studios’ V Rising will also be coming to consoles, with its release date yet to be determined.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 is slated to release on PSVR2 in June, as announced on the PlayStation Blog. This virtual reality horror game allows players to explore Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria at their own pace. Players will take on the role of a new employee tasked with maintaining the animatronics, testing games, and navigating the haunted machines while trying to stay out of harm’s way. The game also includes content from Five Nights at Freddy’s: Sister Location, adapted for VR.

Darkest Dungeon 2

For fans of cosmic horror, Darkest Dungeon 2 is set to launch on both PS4 and PS5 in July. The sequel to Red Hook’s Lovecraftian-inspired roguelike takes players on a journey across a world facing impending doom. The game retains the original’s challenging turn-based combat and distinctive cell-shaded art style, with some enhancements. Players can also expect more in-depth exploration of the heroes’ backgrounds, providing a richer narrative experience.

V Rising

Among the trio of games heading to PS5, V Rising stands out as the newest addition, with its PC version currently in early access. Players will step into the shoes of a newly awakened vampire striving to regain their strength while steering clear of sunlight. As they progress, players will master various weapons and vampire abilities to rebuild their undead empire. However, they must be wary of obstacles such as the human Church of Luminance and rival vampire lords who seek to impede their ascent to power. The game offers a choice to play solo, team up with other vampires online, or engage in castle raids for valuable resources.
