Helldivers 2 May Update Adds Polar Patriots, Premium Warbond Detailed

Sony and Arrowhead have recently unveiled the upcoming Premium Warbond for Helldivers 2, known as the Polar Patriots Warbond. Set to release on May 9th, this Warbond brings a host of new arctic-themed gear including capes, weapons, armor, and more.

The Polar Patriots Warbond features three new armors, capes, primary weapons, secondary weapons/utilities, capes, banners, and victory poses. The Polar Patriots Warbond includes:

Armor

  • The white CW-36 Winter Warrior armor offers the Servo-assisted passive buff, enhancing limb health and throwing range.
  • The gray and CW-22 Kodiak armor provides the Fortified passive buff, increasing explosive resistance by 50%.
  • The dark blue and brown CW-4 Arctic Ranger armor grants the Scout passive buff, allowing players to ping enemies by placing markers on the map.

Primary Weapons

  • AR-61 Tenderizer: an assault rifle with high damage but limited magazine capacity
  • SMG-72 Pummeler: a submachine gun that fires concussive rounds to stun enemies, though it has a slower fire rate
  • PLAS-101 Purifier: a plasma rifle that charges up a more powerful blast the longer it’s fired

Secondary Weapons and Utilities

  • P-113 Verdict: a high-caliber semi-automatic pistol
  • G-13 Incendiary Impact: explodes on impact, releasing a cloud of burning white phosphorus
  • Motivational Shocks: an electric shock that removes slowing effects like bug acid vomit, excluding area effects like EMS strikes

Capes and Player Banners

  • Dissident’s Nightmare: a white, yellow, and black cape known to terrify dissent-afflicted citizens
  • Pinions of Everlasting Glory: a white, gold, and black cape/banner ensuring ascension to the immortal ranks of heroes
  • Order of the Venerated Ballot: a blue cape with an orange insignia, symbolizing a Ministry-sanctioned Patriot’s Club for preserving voting sanctity
