Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition Officially Announced

The highly anticipated Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition has been officially announced, bringing a beloved Ubisoft title to a new generation of gamers with updated features and enhancements.

After leaks of achievement and trophy lists surfaced online, Ubisoft confirmed the remaster on social media. The official unveiling took place during Limited Run Games’ LRG3 2024 presentation, accompanied by a new trailer.

This remastered version of the game will be available on various platforms, including PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The digital release is set for June 25, with a physical edition following on July 12 through Limited Run Games.

The Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition offers classic remaster features such as 4K support at 60fps, cross-save functionality across all platforms, achievement support, a new speedrun mode, and additional content like galleries and videos.

Excitingly, the remaster goes beyond the expected enhancements. It will introduce a new questline with unlockable cosmetics that ties in with Beyond Good & Evil 2, hinting at potential updates for the prequel in the near future.

The original Beyond Good & Evil launched in 2003 for PS2, OG Xbox, and Nintendo Gamecube, receiving critical acclaim for its exploration, worldbuilding, and unique photography mechanics. Despite modest commercial success, the game remains a cherished title that has withstood the test of time.
