PlayStation Shapes Collection: A New Range of Collectible Figures
Sony has partnered with Spin Master to introduce a line of collectible figures inspired by popular PlayStation Studios franchises. The PlayStation Shapes Collection features characters such as Aloy and Varl from Horizon: Forbidden West, Kratos and Atreus from God of War, and Jin Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima.
Release Date for the Shapes Collection Figures
The figures from the Shapes Collection will be available for shipping on August 15, 2024, in Europe through the PlayStation Gear store. While the United States store currently shows a generic shipping date of January 1, 2025, Sony’s Vice President of Network Advertising, Loyalty & Licensed Merchandise, Grace Chen, has confirmed that the figures will indeed ship in August. Pre-orders for all figures are open now.
Each of the five 6-inch figures has been developed in collaboration with the game developers themselves. They feature interchangeable accessories and multiple points of articulation, allowing for various posing options.
The Horizon franchise’s Aloy figure is priced at $49.99, making her the most expensive in the collection. With 42 points of articulation and 15 accessories including different face plates, hands, weapons, and a quiver, she offers a high level of detail. Aloy’s companion, Varl, is priced at $29.99 and boasts 32 points of articulation along with unique accessories such as his axe.
From God of War, both Kratos and Atreus figures are priced at $29.99 each. Kratos features 31 points of articulation and iconic weapons like the Leviathan Axe and Blades of Chaos. Atreus, on the other hand, offers 33 points of articulation and comes with a bow, arrow, and multiple hands for various poses.
Rounding out the collection is Jin Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima, also priced at $29.99. With 32 points of articulation, Jin comes with accessories such as his katana, tanto, mempo mask, and an additional sword to recreate scenes from the game.
