Wao-os Shrine location and walkthrough in Zelda: TOTK

Located in the Hebra Mountains region of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, the Wao-os Shrine can be tricky to find. But don’t worry, our guide will help you not only locate the shrine but also guide you through solving its puzzles. Plus, we’ll take you through the “The White Bird’s Guidance” shrine quest and the “Lever Power” puzzle so you can collect the chest and Light of Blessing.

Finding Wao-os Shrine Location

The exact location of Wao-os Shrine is (-4059, 1991, 0183) in the Hebra Mountains region. Since it’s cold there, we recommend bringing spicy meals or elixirs, or even the Snowquill Armor set. Also, Rospro Pass Skyview Tower is a short distance northeast of the shrine, and you can get there from Van Medoh’s Perch, which is located above Rito Village.

Completing the White Bird’s Guidance shrine quest

Speak to Laissa on the northwest side of Rito Village to begin the “The White Bird’s Guidance” shrine quest. She’ll give you instructions to look west from Van Medoh’s Perch early in the morning for a single white bird resting atop the long shadow of the perch. Wait for morning and head to the top of Van Medoh’s Perch. Once the sun is up, the shadow it casts on the mountains to the west will resemble a perch, and there’s a snowy patch nearby that looks like a white bird. Follow it to West Lake Totori Cave and Wao-os Shrine.

Wao-os Shrine Walkthrough

When you enter Wao-os Shrine, you’ll see a closed gate on your left next to a large bowl, sphere, and cube. On the edge of the platform, you’re standing on, there’s a see-saw, and across a large gap, two targets. Follow these steps to complete the shrine:

1. Use Ultrahand to attach the bowl to the end of the see-saw and then place the ball inside the bowl (but don’t attach it).

2. Lift the metal cube as high as possible and use the green shadow to line it up with the other end of the plank.

3. Drop it to launch the ball, which should hit the lower of the two targets.

4. Remove the bowl from the seesaw.

5. Grab the plank from behind the gate you just opened and attach it to the seesaw to extend it. But don’t put the bowl back on yet.

6. Pick up the cube again and stand on the newly extended catapult.

7. Drop it to launch yourself mostly straight up. Deploy your paraglider and look along the right wall for a chest containing a spicy elixir.

8. Attach the bowl to the extended seesaw.

9. Place the ball in the bowl, and launch it. It should hit the higher target this time.

10. Climb into the bowl and launch yourself across to follow it.

11. Paraglide through the exit and collect your Light of Blessing.
