Another Sonic Lego set is set to release this year, featuring the iconic blue speedster facing off with Dr. Eggman’s Death Egg robot, which includes a spring-loaded ramp for launching the Sonic minifigures at the robot.
The newest addition to the Sonic Lego sets, Sonic vs. Dr. Eggman’s Death Egg Robot, has no official release date or price yet. However, its store page is available on the official Lego website, giving insight into what fans can expect from the set.
The Death Egg Robot
The Sonic franchise’s earlier final bosses, the Death Egg Robot first appeared on Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, before making a comeback on Sonic Generations and Sonic the Hedgehog 4.
The new Lego set design based on the Eggman Robot is on-point, differing significantly from its Sonic 2 depiction. Alongside Sonic, the set includes Eggman mini-figures, accessories such as a spike trap and a spin ball for Sonic, and even animal critters trapped in capsules.
New Lego Set Prices
The newest Sonic vs. Dr. Eggman’s Death Egg Robot Lego set is likely to become one of the costlier options, as it comes with various accessories compared to the other sets. The four other sets range in price from $34.99 / £24.99 with Sonic’s Speed Sphere Challenge, up to $99.99 / £94.99 with Sonic’s Green Hill Zone Loop Challenge.
The Sonic sets are not the only unusual crossover products to catch the attention of fans recently. Blaze Entertainment has revealed the Duke Nukem Atomic Edition Evercade VS console and cartridge collections featuring some of the 90s anti-hero’s best games.
