Exient Entertainment recently appointed Christa Agius as COO, where she will be responsible for the company’s capabilities to develop first-party games and collaborations with other platforms and publishers. Agius is an experienced product director with a background in commercial product lead (Finixio) and a product manager (Catena Media). She will also oversee the recruitment of programmers to deliver on future projects scheduled to be released by 2023. Moreover, Agius takes her role as Women in Games ambassador seriously, and she wants to promote diversity and equality in the gaming industry.

Exience in Design

Exient Entertainment has gained popularity in the gaming industry by porting console and PC games to handheld systems. They started with titles such as SSX 3 and The Sims 3, creating a name for themselves. Eventually, Exient partnered with Rovio, the mobile gaming giant, to co-develop numerous Angry Birds franchise games, including the console/handheld ports of mobile versions as well as their canceled racing game, Angry Birds Go. Since 2014, the company has concentrated exclusively on mobile gaming, releasing titles based on established IPs, such as Lemmings and Strictly Come Dancing.

Exient recently launched Ultimate Sackboy, a mobile game spin-off of the well-known LittleBigPlanet franchise, earlier this year.
