Halls of Torment – Strategies for Level 100
While you may defeat bosses and explore dungeons before attempting to reach level 100, it’s important to focus on this objective when you’re ready. To successfully level your characters to 100, follow these steps:
- Equip the Jade Amulet: The Jade Amulet increases your XP gain by 50%, providing a significant boost to your leveling progress. Make sure to equip this item on each character.
- Choose Gear Wisely: Prioritize gear that enhances critical attacks, elemental damage, and standard attack capabilities. This will maximize your damage output and increase your overall efficiency.
- Master Offensive Blessings: Completely unlock and master all offensive blessings. This will further enhance your damage output and make leveling faster and more efficient.
- Focus on Movement Speed and Critical Attacks: During your run, select traits and abilities that improve movement speed, critical attacks, and attack frequency. These enhancements will help you clear enemies quickly and gain more XP.
- Select Abilities with Rapid and Powerful Projectiles: Choose abilities that allow for rapid firing of powerful projectiles. This will help you deal with enemies effectively and efficiently.

The Power of the Jade Amulet: The Jade Amulet is a crucial item for leveling as it boosts your XP gain by 50%. Equipping this item on each character is highly recommended. It’s the one gear piece that every character should have to reach level 100. However, remember that the amulet alone is not enough; you must also focus on maximizing your damage output.
Strategic Gear Selection: When choosing gear, make sure to prioritize the Jade Amulet, which means you may have to forgo other helpful items like the Collar of Confidence. To compensate for this, consider equipping the Ruby Circlet, which increases damage dealt to burning enemies and can significantly enhance your damage output.

Master Offensive Blessings: It’s important to master all offensive blessings available to your character. If you need to prioritize due to time constraints, focus on offensive blessings related to damage rather than defense. By killing enemies quickly and efficiently, defensive abilities become less important while improving your attack speed, area/project size, damage, duration, movement speed, effect on hit chance, attack range, pickup range, fire damage, and lightning damage.
Emphasize Offensive Traits: When selecting traits, prioritize offensive enhancements over defensive ones. Although defensive capabilities are necessary, choose options that enhance defense or block ratings while providing secondary effects such as movement speed, health regeneration, and increased maximum HP. Additionally, improving pickup range and movement speed can save time and increase XP gains. Critical attack damage and frequency for your primary weapon should be your key focus. If you have Reverberant Tinkture, utilize it to double the effects of traits that improve critical attack percentages.
Choose Abilities that Hit Frequently: Aim for abilities that hit frequently to quickly eliminate enemies. Dragon’s Breath is an effective area-of-attack ability, while Kugelblitz has excellent damage distribution. Transfixion, Phantom Needles, Ring Blades, and Arcane Splinters are also strong options. Upgrade your abilities early, focusing on fire rate enhancement and critical hit percentage. Utilize abilities to clear weak enemies and maximize XP drops.
