How to Defeat Legion Drain in Remnant 2

When playing Remnant 2, each campaign is randomized and presents unique challenges. One of the first bosses you’ll encounter is Legion Drain. This boss has a peculiar floating circle for a head, moves around the arena, and hurls red Rot orbs at you while you’re being bombarded by additional enemies. Don’t fret! I’m here to provide some tips to help you defeat Legion Drain and move on to even more formidable foes.

Note: If you’re struggling with Legion Drain in Remnant 2, it’s advisable to consider purchasing new weapons or upgrading your existing ones.

Best Strategies to Beat Legion Drain in Remnant 2

Before facing Legion Drain in Remnant 2, it’s essential to ensure that you rest at the Checkpoint. This is crucial because you’ll likely face defeat multiple times against Legion Drain, and restarting the level from scratch is not a pleasant experience. Once you’re prepared, proceed through the gate.

The most effective strategy to defeat Legion Drain remains the same regardless of the Archetype you choose. However, one useful tip that helped me vanquish this challenging boss quickly was utilizing the Hot Shot weapon mod. If you didn’t select Hot Shot as your primary Weapon Mod, don’t worry. You can still emerge victorious against Legion Drain.

If you possess the Hot Shot mod, I highly recommend equipping it to your rifle. Activate it as soon as Legion Drain’s health bar appears on the screen, and unload a barrage of rounds into the floating circle above the boss’s body. This is the vulnerable spot where you can inflict damage and deplete a significant portion of Legion Drain’s health within the first 10 seconds of the fight.

After landing several shots on Legion Drain, you need to stay vigilant and watch out for its attacks as well as the accompanying enemies. The body located at the front of the room will unleash a devastating red shock wave that inflicts severe damage. To dodge this attack successfully, you must execute a precisely timed roll. Additionally, be prepared for occasions when Legion Drain turns red and fires red Rot orbs at you. Furthermore, you must stay alert for exploding enemies and other monsters that aggressively charge at you.

In order to defeat Legion Drain, it’s crucial to follow a winning pattern. Here are the steps you need to take:

  1. Eliminate all enemy monsters.
  2. Position yourself in the top right corner of the room.
  3. When Legion Drain turns red, unleash a barrage of shots. Strafe left and right and seek cover behind the columns to evade the red Rot orbs.
  4. Be prepared to dodge the red shock wave attack by rolling over it, all while continuing to shoot at Legion Drain.
  5. Keep in mind that the enemy monsters will respawn after each red shock wave. Prioritize eliminating them first, especially the ones that explode.
  6. Repeat this process until you emerge victorious against Legion Drain.

While deciphering and evading some of Legion Drain’s attacks may initially be challenging, once you learn the pattern, defeating Legion Drain becomes relatively straightforward. Execute the winning pattern to the best of your ability, and you’ll emerge as the victor. This will set you up for an exciting battle against Root Nexus.
