Last Month’s Summer of Horrors Begins the Walking Dead Crossover
Last month, we kicked off our Summer of Horrors event with the release of the Good Night, Good Luck update. This update introduced a scarier nighttime experience with dangerous Volatiles roaming the streets, improved parkour mechanics, and more. However, this was just the beginning of what we had in store.
Announcing the Walking Dead Collaboration
We are thrilled to announce our partnership with The Walking Dead comic book series. As the franchise celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, we wanted to bring this iconic universe into our game. The Walking Dead has had a significant impact on pop culture, and we believed that a crossover event would be an exciting addition to our game.
What to Expect in the Crossover
The crossover event consists of two main parts: the event itself and the bundle. During the event, players will have the opportunity to acquire iconic weapons from The Walking Dead universe, including Negan’s infamous barbwired bat, Lucille. To earn this ultimate reward, players must demonstrate their thirst for blood by collectively killing a large number of infected. In addition, the community will be rewarded with Rick’s sheriff hat for their efforts.
For the first time in the game, we are introducing daily goals specifically for this event. Each day, players will have a unique challenge to complete. The daily rewards will be collectible in-game versions of select covers from The Walking Dead comic book series, with a twist that reflects the world of Dying Light 2 Stay Human. Collecting all seven covers will unlock a special TWD charm.
Furthermore, players will have the opportunity to obtain additional items from The Walking Dead universe through our special crossover bundle. This bundle includes Michonne’s katana, Rick’s sheriff’s deputy outfit, Negan’s knife (with the blueprint), and Lucille for those who missed out on earning it during the event.

The Walking Dead event will take place from July 26 to August 2. Players can wield Lucille and fend off infected and possibly even human enemies. Embrace your inner Negan as you navigate through this post-apocalyptic world.
