Last week, there was a leak of Tekken 8’s roster during the game’s network test. However, Bandai Namco is now taking action by banning YouTube videos discussing the leaked information. It’s unclear whether the bans are due to the information being accurate or to suppress inaccurate data. Nevertheless, the publisher is issuing copyright strikes against content creators who discuss the leaked roster.

The closed network test of Tekken 8 allowed players to try out five stages and 16 playable characters, including familiar faces like Asuka Kazama, Bryan Fury, Claudio Serafino, Hwoarang, Jin Kazama, Jun Kazama, Leroy Smith, Nina Williams, and Paul Phoenix, among others.

However, Cheat Engine revealed additional character names that were previously missing from the roster. Bandai Namco is now taking action against content creators who share this leaked information.

One player tweeted, “Bandai Namco copyright striked my channel for making a video about this Tekken 8 roster leak?!” Another player added that they received a strike as well, suggesting that the leak is true. However, it’s important to note that a copyright strike does not necessarily confirm the accuracy of a leak.

In addition to banning videos about the leaked roster, Bandai Namco has issued a warning to players who are still playing the closed network test using unauthorized methods. Playing a cracked version of the game violates both the game’s terms of service and the Tekken World Tour code of conduct.

As for the release date of Tekken 8, it is still unknown. However, the game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
