Alan Wake 2 Hit With 10-Day Delay

Alan Wake 2 Release Date Pushed to October 27

In an announcement, Remedy Entertainment revealed that the highly anticipated Alan Wake 2 will be delayed from its original release date of October 17 to October 27.

This decision was made to give the game some breathing room amidst the wave of other major releases in October. Remedy Entertainment stated, “October is an amazing month for game launches, and we hope this date shift gives more space for everyone to enjoy their favorite games.”

This delay is likely due to the fact that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Super Mario Bros. Wonder, two high-profile titles, are both scheduled to launch on October 20. By moving the release date to a full week later, Alan Wake 2 can avoid being overshadowed and allow players to fully immerse themselves in these exciting new releases.

Storyline and Gameplay

Alan Wake 2 takes place 13 years after the events of the original game and features two main protagonists: Alan Wake, the titular author, and FBI agent Saga Anderson. Saga is on a mission to investigate a murder case in the Pacific Northwest, while Alan remains trapped in the nightmarish realm known as The Dark Place.

Players have the ability to switch between both characters and experience their separate storylines at their own pace. This sequel is touted as a pure survival horror title, intensifying the thrilling gameplay and suspenseful atmosphere.
