Bulidbox Unveils StoryGames.AI: A Revolutionary AI Tool for Creating Visual Novel-style Games

Bulidbox, a leading game development platform, has launched StoryGames.AI, a groundbreaking tool that utilizes generative AI to empower amateurs in creating their own narrative-driven games in the style of visual novels.

Enhancing Game Creation for Amateur Developers

StoryGames.AI is an exciting addition to Buildbox’s existing game creation capabilities. The tool caters specifically to amateur developers, providing them with the means to design and build engaging choice-driven games. In a recent interview with Gamesbeat, Buildbox CEO Jonathan Zweig shared insights into the technology behind this innovative tool.

“The community has expressed great interest in creating visual novel games similar to popular titles like ‘Episode’ and ‘Choices’,” said Zweig. “Buildbox has primarily focused on hypercasual games for a considerable period. However, with the rise of AI technology, it made sense to combine these technologies. As a result, users can now simply type any storyline they desire, and the tool will generate the first 10 chapters of the game automatically.”

StoryGames.AI aims to lower entry barriers for game developers, making it accessible to newcomers in the industry. With this tool, developers can create games within a matter of minutes, unleashing their creativity and bringing their stories to life.

A Revolutionary Approach to Game Design

The StoryGames.AI technology employs a series of questions to gather information about the main character and the overall narrative. Using this data, the tool generates an illustrated visual novel complete with interactive choices. Developers can utilize Buildbox’s various platforms – Buildbox Classic, Buildbox World, or directly on the web with Buildbox.ai – and publish their games on popular storefronts like Google Play, Steam, and the App Store.

The cost of development using the StoryGames.AI software is estimated to be around $0.25 per game. Additionally, users can create two free games before opting for a paid subscription.

“Just like the App Store, we at Buildbox play the role of a gatekeeper. We have to approve all content and exercise caution,” explained Zweig. The system is moderated, with certain topics being restricted to prevent the creation of undesirable games. Each game is also played and approved by Buildbox staff before publication, ensuring high-quality experiences for players.

On another note, Room 8 Group recently announced a partnership with Zibra AI, marking an exciting development in the industry.
