PlayStation’s next State of Play airs this Thursday, focusing on third-party games

State of Play, Sony’s irregular series of PlayStation showcases, is making its return on September 14th. This time, the focus will be on previously announced indie and third-party games.

Although Sony hasn’t provided a duration for the broadcast, it will commence at 10pm in the UK, 11pm CEST, 2pm PT, and 5pm ET.

However, don’t expect any exciting first-party news or another glimpse of Spider-Man 2: Spider-Mens. According to the PlayStation Blog, “Tomorrow’s broadcast will focus on updates to previously announced games coming to PlayStation consoles.”

Specifically, the showcase will cover “indie and PS VR2 highlights, to major upcoming titles from our third-party partners” that are set to release in 2023 “and beyond.” Unfortunately, chances are slim for a Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition PC announcement.

For those eager to explore Sony’s third-party offerings, the showcase will be streamed on YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok at 11pm UK time. If you’re unable to tune in, Eurogamer will cover all the key reveals through the power of the written word.
