Tales of Arise is getting an expansion two years after its launch

Tales of Arise Surprise Expansion ‘Beyond the Dawn’ Announced

The popular video game Tales of Arise is set to receive an unexpected expansion called Beyond the Dawn, a whole two years after its initial release.

Bandai Namco revealed this exciting news during the September 14 State of Play livestream, where fans were treated to the first look at the upcoming expansion in a brand new trailer. It was also confirmed that players can look forward to experiencing the expansion on November 9, which will be available for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Beyond the Dawn is designed to take place after the main campaign of Tales of Arise and will mainly focus on further expanding the stories of The Six. This expansion is jam-packed with over 20 hours of additional gameplay content. Not only that, players will have the chance to meet a new character named Nazamil and delve into new dungeons, face off against formidable bosses, and engage in intriguing questlines within the game’s “evolving world.” You can catch a glimpse of what’s in store in the announcement trailer below.

The expansion’s producer, Yusuke Tomizawa, provided more insights about Beyond the Dawn in a PlayStation Blog post. He discussed the character Nazamil, who is described as “a girl with both Dahnan and Renan blood and the daughter of a Lord who opposed the player in the main story of Tales of Arise.”

“Our aim for this title, and one thing we were certain about during playtesting, was to provide players with an experience akin to the feeling you get when you watch a great movie,” Tomizawa stated.

“Since the release of Tales of Arise, we have received numerous requests from players who loved the main story and wanted to see its continuation. The development team thoroughly discussed and deliberated on how best to go beyond the original story and what kind of significance and appeal would be necessary. It also allowed us to reflect on what Tales of Arise meant to us.”
