Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer Maps Removed Due to Spawn Issues

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Suffers Multiplayer Map Spawning issues

Which Multiplayer Maps have been Removed?

Due to spawning issues, Sledgehammer Games has taken Quarry, Rundown, and Scrapyard off the Hardpoint playlists. The player community has expressed their concerns on Twitter about the repeated spawing on Quarry, leaving them vulnerable to enemy attacks.

Later in the day, Karachi was also “temporarily removed” from the Cutthroat playlist as a result of players spawning alongside their enemies. Sledgehammer Games has acknowledged the issues with these maps and is currently working to fix them, but no timeline has been provided for the solution.

An update was released on the game’s official release day to address game crashes, loading problems, and other issues in the campaign and multiplayer modes. A subsequent hotfix included the following bug fixes:

  • Fixed loading issues from MW2 to MW3
  • Resolved a potential crash when entering the Weapons tab when cross-launching from MW3

Despite being poorly reviewed, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 also faced criticism from gamers, some of whom review-bombed the wrong game. The short campaign duration has been a major point of contention. Initial reports suggested a short development time of less than 1.5 years, but Sledgehammer Games has dismissed this, claiming that the game was “years in the making.”
