Cyberpunk 2077 Is Getting A Fully Functional Metro And More With A 2.1 Update

Cyberpunk 2077 Set to Receive 2.1 Update with Exciting Features

CD Projekt’s ambitious plans for Cyberpunk 2077 are not slowing down anytime soon. In a recent stream, developers Paweł Sasko and Monika Janowska revealed the details of the upcoming 2.1 update, which promises to bring a host of new features to the game. Set to launch on December 5, the same day as Rockstar’s next Grand Theft Auto trailer, the update will also coincide with the release of Cyberpunk 2077’s Ultimate Edition.

Exciting New Additions

One of the most anticipated additions is the fully functional metro system, known as NCART in the game, which will allow players to traverse the city and enjoy the scenery. Additionally, the Radioport feature will enable players to enjoy music outside of vehicles. Another interesting update is the ability to invite in-game significant others to spend quality time together in V’s apartment. Furthermore, the update promises improvements to boss fights, accessibility features, and the introduction of replayable car races.

Specific Enhancements

Specifically, the late-game encounter with Adam Smasher will see significant improvements, with CD Projekt equipping him with Sandevistan, as seen in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. Players can also look forward to new vehicle additions, such as the Porsche 911 Cabriolet, improvements in motorcycle handling, and technical updates including larger fonts and the option to turn off timers in the Breach Protocol minigame.

Launch Date

The highly anticipated 2.1 patch is set to launch on December 5 across all platforms. For a comprehensive review of Cyberpunk 2077, visit Game Informer’s website. Additionally, you can find our review of the Phantom Liberty update here.
