Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Celebrates Fifth Anniversary with Special Events

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the popular platform fighting game featuring characters from various gaming franchises, is celebrating its fifth anniversary on December 7. To mark the occasion, Nintendo has announced a special five-day Spirit Event, as well as the addition of new Spirits starting next month.

Five-Day Spirit Event

The spirit event, which runs until December 12, will offer five times the amount of EXP and SP (Spirit Points) and five extra Snack items for each battle. Players can take advantage of this event to enhance their gaming experience and earn additional rewards.

New Spirits Coming Soon

In addition to the ongoing Spirit Event, Nintendo has revealed that new Spirits will be introduced through four new Spirit Events starting in January. Although details about the themes and specific Spirits have not been disclosed, players can look forward to fresh content and challenges in the coming months.

Upcoming Tag-Team Tournament Event

A special “tag-team tournament” event is also on the horizon, offering players the opportunity to pair up with amiibo fighters they’ve trained. While the dates for the tournament have not been announced, Nintendo has confirmed the release date of the Sora Amiibo on February 16, marking the final release for the playable roster’s Amiibo figures.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is available exclusively on Nintendo Switch and is also included in the new Nintendo Switch OLED console bundle for the holiday season.
