GTA 6’s Inclusion of Lucia Not ‘Woke,’ Says Voice Actor

GTA 6’s Lucia Character Defended by Voice Actor Ned Luke

There has been some controversy surrounding the character of Lucia in the upcoming GTA 6 game, with some claiming that her inclusion is a result of “wokeness.” However, Ned Luke, the voice actor for Michael in GTA 5, has pushed back against these claims.

During an interview in the GTFM video series by IGN, Luke addressed the criticism by stating that those who are quick to label Rockstar Games as “woke” based on the portrayal of Lucia in a single trailer are nothing but “clowns.” He also added that Lucia is a “hard” character and “looks good” in the trailer.

“Lucia’s hard, man. In the trailer, she looked good,” Luke said. “You get a lot of these clowns out here going, ‘Rockstar’s going woke, they’re caving into the wokeness of the world.’ First of all, there’s been other female protagonists in the past, but not in something as huge as this.”

Rockstar Games has kept the details about GTA 6 and its characters under wraps. The identity of the actress portraying Lucia has not been revealed yet. Despite this, fans have speculated that actress Manni L. Perez, who has a history of working with the Grand Theft Auto franchise, may be the one behind the role of Lucia in GTA 6.
