Patch 4.3 “Roses and Muskets” is wrapping up, and Genshin Impact players are eagerly looking forward to Patch 4.4. Hoyoverse has just unveiled details about the upcoming patch, including new and returning banners, as well as quality of life improvements. Additionally, a livestream is planned to provide more in-depth information about the patch and offer giveaway codes for free Primogems and other rewards.
New Banner: Xianyun and Gaming
The Passerine Herald, Xianyun, will be the featured 5-star Anemo user in the new banner, accompanied by the 4-star Pyro archer, Gaming. In conjunction with the annual Lantern Rite event, players will have the opportunity to obtain Gaming for free by participating in the event quest. Furthermore, other Liyue 4-star characters like Beidou, Chongyun, and Yanfei will also be obtainable through the event.
Leakers on Twitter and Reddit have suggested that the returning banners may include characters such as Xiao, Yae Miko, and Nahida. The full roster has yet to be confirmed, so players are advised to prepare their Primogems for their desired characters.
For the current banners, players have until the release of Patch 4.4’s new banner to roll for characters featured in the Reign of Serenity, Tapestry of Golden Flames, and Epitome Invocation Phase 2 banners.

New Region in Liyue
The upcoming Patch 4.4 will introduce the new region of Chenyu Vale, situated between Fontaine and Liyue. This area, related to the Lantern Rite festival, contains various locales such as Jademouth, Chenlong Pool, Qiaoying Village, and Yilong Wharf for players to explore.
Quality of Life Features
Hoyoverse has announced several quality of life improvements coming with Patch 4.4. These include accessibility changes to enhance menu navigation, such as the addition of the Fast Artifact functionality, which allows for quicker swapping of artifacts, and an increased cap for party compositions. The Serenitea Pot will also receive optimization, and the Adventure Handbook will have a new tab for Commissions.
Other small visual updates, such as a Borderless mode and Dynamic Character Resolution, are also on the way to enhance the gaming experience.
