Cliff “CliffyB” Bleszinski has “moved on” from Gears as his offers to consult have been met with “crickets”

Bleszinski Open to Consulting on Next Gears Game

Cliff “CliffyB” Bleszinski expressed his openness to consulting on the next Gears game and offered his insights for the franchise’s development. In a recent statement on Twitter, Bleszinski, who played a significant role in the Gears franchise until 2011, emphasized his willingness to work with Microsoft, citing the massive impact the Gears of War series has had on his career.

Despite his offer, it appears that neither Microsoft nor Coalition has reached out to Bleszinski, prompting him to shift his focus away from game development.

In his social media post, Bleszinski expressed his frustration by stating, “We’ve been over this a million times re: Gears. I’m down to consult. Give my two cents. Crickets.” Despite acknowledging the impact of Gears on his legacy, Bleszinski signaled his readiness to explore other ventures, leaving game development behind.

He further shared his focus on diverse ventures, including restaurants, Broadway, memoir writing, comics, and stand-up comedy, demonstrating that he has embarked on a new journey beyond game design.

Bleszinski concluded by encouraging fans to explore his comic “Scrapper” and emphasized the importance of creating content that resonates on a personal level. In a separate update, he reflected on the success of Palworld, expressing validation for a concept he proposed to Epic many years ago, which he described as a “medieval Pokémon with baby dragons.”
