Vampire Survivors adds Space Dude and more in today’s cosmic Space 54 update

Exciting New Update for Vampire Survivors

Vampire Survivors may not actually have any vampires in sight, but the latest update, Space 54, brings a whole new cosmic sci-fi twist to the game. This free update is now available on Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, and mobile platforms.

The highlight of the Space 54 update is the introduction of a new bonus stage with the same name. This stage is described as a “cosmic border-realm between this plane of existence and a sinister, third dimension.” Along with the new stage, players can also enjoy two new characters added to the mix.

One of the new characters, Space Dude, takes the spotlight in Poncle’s dynamic Space 54 trailer. In addition to the new characters, players can also explore four new weapons, a new relic, and seven new EXTRA achievements.

The new achievements in this update draw inspiration from the open-source game framework Phaser, which was originally used in creating Vampire Survivors. According to Poncle’s update notes, these achievements pay homage to Phaser for its contribution to the game’s development.

Looking ahead, Poncle teases upcoming content in Vampire Survivors’ Chaos Roadmap. The next three updates have already been planned, with a focus on darker and more serious settings. Players can expect some intense and immersive experiences in the upcoming updates.

In addition to the game updates, development is ongoing for Vampire Survivors’ online co-op mode. Poncle mentions that technical work is progressing well, although further details are not yet available. The studio is also experimenting with collaborations with other indie developers, showing a commitment to expanding the game’s universe.

To complement the Space 54 update, the public beta launch for Vampire Survivors’ cross-save feature on Steam and Android is now live. Players are encouraged to provide feedback on this feature to ensure its stability and reliability.
